In this video, I attempt to repair a Xiaomi rechargeable trimmer that suffers from a severe battery backup problem. Despite being fully charged (showing 4.5V), the trimmer only runs for 1-2 seconds before shutting off and indicating a low battery.

Step-by-Step Repair Process:
1. Initial Inspection:
The trimmer is fully charged but fails to operate for more than a couple of seconds.
After disassembling the unit, I discovered a small 3.7V, 600mAh battery, which is insufficiently sized for replacement with a larger 18650 battery due to space constraints.

2. Battery Testing:
Using a multimeter, the battery showed 4.51V, and further testing with a capacity tester confirmed it was functional (485mAh).
To rule out the battery as the issue, I tested the trimmer with a known good battery (4.16V), but the problem persisted.

3. Circuit Board Examination:
A red sticker on the circuit board raised suspicions of water damage. Upon closer inspection, corrosion was found and cleaned using thinner.
Despite cleaning, the trimmer still exhibited the same behavior—shutting off after 1-2 seconds of use.

4. Conclusion:
The issue appears to stem from the circuit board, likely damaged by water exposure. Even after cleaning corroded areas, the fault remains unresolved.
Without a replacement circuit board or advanced diagnostics, this repair seems unfeasible.
