I have this thing… Medeco Assa Abloy G8R padlock unboxing

On today's episode of I Have This Thing, I do an unboxing of my newest purchase, the Medeco G8R padlock!

The Medeco Assa Abloy G8R padlock is a tough, weather resistant padlock intended for harsh environments. It is also UL listed, and extremely resistant to prying, bumping, wrenching and drilling attacks.

I forgot to mention, but the Disc Retainer lock style this uses is very useful for areas where dust, water, or other debris may make it into the keyway, since this lock has no springs or pins that could be jammed by debris!
Also, the Disc Retainer lock was originally created by Emil Henriksson at Abloy in 1907, is still used today, and can be identified by it's D shaped keyway.

Oh, and the piece of paper in the box is just instructions on how to attach the "Finishing Plate." Sorry I didn't show it in the video.
