My Adventure in Sombor, Serbia

I woke up Saturday morning and decided to get out my Serbia map. I closed my eyes, threw down my finger and it landed near Sombor, Serbia so I packed up and went. It's 100 km to northwest of Novi Sad. The bus takes about 2 hours to get there. Sombor is known for horse carriages, bicycle riders, tamburasi bands and green trees and bushes. I had heard a lot about this city of around 60k people, but had never taken the time to go up there. I had a blast walking around on Halloween night. The cheap motel, Bele Dvor, was the perfect setting for Halloween. I walked back in the pitch black . It sits 3 km from downtown in an isolated area. If you get a chance to visit Sombor, do it in the summer. It's stunningly beautiful
