James McDonald is a polymath: mathematician, etymologist, historian, theologian and prolific writer on a wide range of non-fiction subjects. He holds two M.A.s, MSc, and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Among his many books are Beyond Belief: A History of Christianity, a tome that took many years of travel and research, and Kill Them All!, which looks in detail at the event where the words “Kill them all! God will know His own” were reported to have been spoken.

In this video he outlines some fascinating information and dispels numerous misconceptions about the religious sect, the Cathars, whose beliefs came from strands of early Christianity.
