Disastrous Second Argentine Attack at Fitzroy (Falklands 1982)

After the initial successful attack on two unprotected British landing ships near Fitzroy settlement on 08 June 1982, the Fuerza Aérea Argentina launched another wave at the British forces in the area. Two flights of A-4 Skyhawk reached the islands. The first one achieved little after reaching the now well defended zone. The second group was able to sink a landing craft to the south of Fitzroy but then, they were spotted by two Sea Harriers flown by Flt Lt David Morgan and Lt David Smith.
