In its very nature, performance studies challenges and questions traditional disciplinary boundaries. So, in this module, we will try explore the disciplines that inform Performance Studies.

00:42 Performance Studies was Born in the USA in the 1960s-70s by the common effort of scholars in the fields of theater and anthropology.

Performance studies analyses broad spectrum of human behavior ranging from ritual, healing, play, sports, popular entertainment, the performing arts and everyday life actions to the enactment of social and professional roles, gender, race, the media, and more.
