In this video, we will start with the concept of lever which is based on mechanical equilibrium. Using Lever we can generate large force using small effort. To have large mechanical advantage the load arm must be smaller and effort arm should be larger.
Thereafter we introduce Centre of gravity in a rigid body which is completely different concept then Centre of mass.
Centre of mass completely depends upon the mass distribution but Centre of gravity depends upon the mass distribution as well as weight distribution. Centre of gravity coincide with Centre of mass in case of flat objects where the gravitational acceleration is same for all points in the object. But if the object is extended and the values of gravitational acceleration changes for different points in a rigid body then Centre of gravity and Centre of Mass will not coincide.
