To achieve the vision of ‘Skilled India Mission’, great interest has been in developing skill sets in the Hydrocarbon sector. It is under his dynamic leadership that MoP&NG in 2016, took initiatives to setup several Skill Development Institutes for skill training of unemployed and under privileged youth.

As part of the mission, a Skill Development Institute (SDI) has been set up at Ahmedabad, Gujarat as a CSR Initiative of ONGC in association with other Oil PSEs (IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, OIL, GAIL, EIL & Balmer Lawrie) to provide skill development to needy and unemployed youth.

The training centre is located at Adalaj on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Highway. The training centre has in the campus of Shri Jagannath Temple, where trainees are undergoing skill training with the blessing of Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu.

Aspire Disruptive Skill Foundation (ADS Foundation) is a Section-8 Non-profitable Organization based out of Ahmedabad, focusing on holistic interventions in vocational skill development for tribal and unemployed youth and transforming them into “Day 1 Job ready Professionals” in Manufacturing and Capital Goods, Renewable Energy, Power, Apparel, Consumer Durables and Electronics, Construction & Plumbing, Telecom and Hydrocarbon Sectors.

Aspire Disruptive Skill (ADS) Foundation was selected as Training Partner through an EOI and selection process based on the quality infrastructure, SSC affiliations, faculty profile training credential to implementation and function of SDI Ahmedabad.
