NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney started the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation in 2018. Using input from his family, Blaney said they agreed to work with the Alzheimer's Association after his grandfather's battle with the disease.

In this exclusive interview with WCNC Charlotte's Ashley Stroehlein, Team Penske's Ryan Blaney talks at length about a charity golf tournament that will benefit his foundation and how the NASCAR community is rallying to support the cause.

Ryan Blaney also talks about his father, Dave Blaney, being injured in a race and why he chose to partner with the University of Pittsburgh Sports Medicine Center. The facility helped treat his father David Blaney when he suffered a concussion in a race. The facility also garnered recognition for its work with NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., particularly Dr. Michael "Micky" Collins, who has been a leader in the field of brain health and concussions for athletes.
