I'm officially back and couldn't be more happy that my first video in the new year (and decade!!) is saileen. I can't remember the last time I shipped a couple this soft? usually i'm all about the angst, but these two.. man, there's just something there that gets to me.
I guess for all the pain sam went through, for always losing the ones he loved (not only but especially romantically) eileen represents his chance of making it work for once. I've seen their potential from the moment they met, all the parallels they drew between them and their revenge, how eileen is sam's perfect fit because while she's a hunter (and a badass, lets be real), she never lost her touch with reality. she always stayed human, and she's a good person (not to mention shoshannah is an amazing actress and I admire her for the work she does!). I adore the way sam lights up around her, and I swear when he brought her back in 15.06 and they held hands something inside me cracked open. I don't know where they're going with this, I have theories, I have wishes, but for now, I just hope they won't kill her off again because neither of them deserves it.

this video is veeery sam-centric. I've had the song on repeat in november, right around the time eileen came back, and something about the 'slowly becoming lovers' line made me connect it to saileen. I love the way they are actually build on something, how they had a connection first, how sam genuinely likes her and that's why he's so apprehensive. I don't think he ever planned on having real feelings for someone again, not after everything that happened. but I guess what I wanted to show here is that sam and eileen have the potential to be different. they CAN find happiness in each other if they're willing to open themselves to it. I think sam sees that and that's why he's so torn. so this involuntarily turned in some sort of characters study of him and why I love the way eileen stands out in the sea of people he lost too soon.
he lost her, and actually got to bring her back. I hope it was for a reason.

I would also like to point out that I added text and my laptop punished me for it by rendering a three minute video for two hours. the text looks... meh but I'll be damned if I let my laptop win this round, so it stays where it is.

I hope you like this. ♥ I put a lot of thought into this, even though I know they are underrated and not many people care much about them.
you can probably expect more spn videos from me now that the show will be back. let's hope i'll survive episode 9. oh boy.
