Jaipur (Rajasthan) February 24 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot presented the state budget 2022-23 in the Legislative Assembly on February 23. To help people affected by the COVID-19, CM Gehlot announced the implementation of the "Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Scheme" in urban areas for employment. Rs 800 crore would be spent on this scheme. 125 days of employment in the MNREGA scheme will be provided with an estimated expenditure of Rs 750 crore. Provision of Rs 4,500 crore has also been made in the budget to give relief to 118 lakh domestic consumers on the consumption of electricity in different slabs. The CM also announced the implementation of the old Pension Scheme for Government employees appointed on and after January 2004. (SA)
