Packraft microadventure along the river Waveney.

Packraft microadventure: First colder morning of this autumn. Launching the packraft at a completly new area to me I set into the water at Homersfield packrafting downstream towards Earsham.

There was a bit of flow in the river which was nice to paddle with. The waterway isnt managed along this stretch so there is a few log jams and blow downs along the way.

Armed with a small spinning rod I target some Chub and Perch only to hook what I guess was a large Pike.

If anyone is interested concerning my confrontation with the bank fisherman.

"It is true that landowners own the banks and the riverbed and they can lease there land to fishing clubs. However they do not own the water'.

So quite how they, and the angling fraternity, think that they can control who or what goes on the water itself is beyond most water users.
