Animal Crossing - Island Trip

I leave the snow-covered forest of Animal Crossing (Nintendo GameCube version) to visit the tropical island. Boat ride courtesy of Kapp'n.

For those asking how this is done, you need to have a Game Boy Advance (GBA) and a GameCube-GBA cable. Once you have them connected, plug the cable into an unused controller jack and turn the GBA on. Then when you go by the dock, Kapp'n will be there to take you to the island.

To clarify, there is no GBA version of Animal Crossing. The GameCube version connects to an empty GBA (with no GBA game in it). With a cable, you can temporarily download features to the GBA like the island, NES games, and the pattern designing tool.

To answer another common question, the DS and Wii versions of Animal Crossing do not have a tropical island you can visit. The GameCube game and New Leaf (on 3DS) are the only Animal Crossing games with this ability.
