Commentary
"So we just watched a set of promos that ran on The Disney Channel in 2005. Included were Disney Channel IDs, bumpers, and promos for the movie Seventeen Again, Kim Possible, Now You See It, American Dragon, Harry Potter and a Proud Family Marathon for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

I really like the variety of styles in the Disney Channel promos from 2005. Each promo feels unique with different colors and backgrounds. They also have a clean, well produced look and you can tell graphic designers were having a lot of fun with the channel's logo.

At this point in the history of the Disney Channel they were a few years into using the mouse ears corner logo they introduced to the channel in 2002. They used a variation of this logo for twelve years, up through 2014. They also used a modified version of this logo for Toon Disney starting in 2004. This logo replaced the prior logo of the mouse ears TV that was used from 1997 to 2002. A corner logo like this could present problems in some situations, but the channel's on-screen graphics designers found creative ways to use it, like setting it within a film frame for the Disney Channel Movie intro.

From these promos you can see the Disney Channel was well into producing original content by this point with shows like Kim Possible, American Dragon, The Proud Family and Disney Channel original films like Now You See It. The films Seventeen Again and Harry Potter were from outside studios.
