Gov. Newsom advocates loosening police pursuit policies, expands CHP | KTVU

California Highway Patrol officers are helping cut down on crime in California, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom, who announced on Friday that those efforts will stay in Oakland longer and expand into the city of Vallejo.

And in making that announcement, Newsom and others advocated for loosening up on police pursuit policies.
