▼ Introduction from Puremusic:
I am truly happy to present my new album, "Serenades Of The Night." I always have a special story for each of my albums, and the "Puremusic" albums, which take many months to complete, are a very special time for me. So, every album, in a way, represents some of my own stories and inspirations in life.
In regard to this new album, I wanted to go deeper emotionally again, as I did in my second album, "The Music & The Universe." I asked a question to myself: how can one put true love in music? How can I make something truly full of love and romance? It then occurred to me that the most romantic time is the night, from twilight till the dawn in summer. (As you may notice, these are the first and last track titles on the new album.) The theme is about true romance between lovers in some really remote area, near river and forest, where there is nothing but sounds of nature and love.
More technically speaking, I wanted this album to be even more "live" than ever before, even surpassing my previous album, "Divine Properties." I added many more live percussion elements, pianos and guitars and some floating background vocals, as well as some ethnic instruments, but I was still sure to save the pure and textured electronic sounds of "Puremusic."
▼ Release description:
Latvian producer and sound engineer, Puremusic, enlightens us listeners once again with his latest work, "Serenades Of The Night" -- his fourth album to be released with Silk Music. Ambitious and inspiring, the album explores the significance of love, romance, twilight contemplation, and the wonder of nature to create a sweeping, evocative body of work that grows deeper with each listen.
As the first track of Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," "Twilight" steeps us into a world of wondrous tones and textures. "No Fairy Tales" builds from a few simple elements such as finger-style bass, reverberating drums and echoing arpeggiators to become a fully enveloping atmosphere the carries us away. Delicate textures, resonating piano and evocative melodies sweep in and out of "Closer," each element arriving as a gentle wave that takes us deeper and deeper into Puremusic's wonderful soundscape. "Born To Love" couples the nostalgia of an acoustic guitar with the wonder of coastal sounds to place us on the shoreline of bliss. In "Tatchi," Puremusic's masterful control of sound transforms the old-world tones of a Japanese koto into something wholly new, adding a touch of fantasy to an already ambitious atmosphere. "Kama" sits as an inspiring prologue that transitions into the album's seventh track, "Reach It." Layers of percussive elements open "Reach It" and establish a foundation upon which Puremusic creates an exotic, otherworldly tune that transports us to a different time. Celestial tones appear and withdraw upon a canvas of sound in "Warmth," a meditative interlude that sets the tone for the more contemplative tracks that close out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night." True to its title, Puremusic's distinctive sound engineering makes "Creation" a perfect sonic companion for watching the dawn of the universe, or for simply relaxing on a summer's eve with someone special. "Pour l'Amour" features a reverberating solo piano whose chords inspire quiet reminiscence. "Dawn" closes out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," on a bright, elated note.
