The True Story of The Dish and Apollo 11

When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon on 20th July 1969, the TV signals were funneled to more than half a billion people through a radio telescope in a sheep paddock in outback Australia.

This is the true story of The Dish, the Parkes radio telescope's involvement in the moon landing, and it is nearly as dramatic as the movie that immortalized the telescope in the minds of Australians.
