Описание к видео Duane Eddy (R.I.P.) * Theme For Something Really Important * Jeff Lynne

Duane Eddy. Guitarist with a distinctive twangy sound (his own description). Born in Corning, New York, USA, on April 26, 1938, died of cancer April 30, 2024, in Franklin, Tennessee, USA.
He was one of the foremost instrumental performers of the late 1950s and early 1960s with a string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic.
Eddy was at George Harrison's Friar Park (on January 30 and February 5, 1987). He recorded The Trembler and Theme For Something Really Important for his forthcoming eponymous Capitol LP with George and Jeff during the January session."
"Theme For Something Really Important" is an epic instrumental in the grand manner and well suited to Duane's twanging lead style. Back in 1987 a certain Jet Harris (British bass legend formerly of the Shadows) purchased the Duane Eddy LP and fell in love with this track. As well as recording his own version, he paid tribute to Duane by playing the track live in over 500 concerts between 1987 and his death in 2011. Jet Harris was awarded the MBE in 2010 but he as genuinely as much thrilled to have had received and email from Duane Eddy (Duane Eddy being one of his heroes) late in life."
