Описание к видео WHEN TIME RAN OUT (Video Trailer)

This is a late 1980s/early 1990s video trailer for "When Time Ran Out", a 1980 disaster movie that was the last theatrical film for producer/director Irwin Allen, who earned the moniker "The Master of Disaster" for his wave of 1970's all-star disaster films, most notably "The Poseidon Adventure" (1972) and "The Towering Inferno" (1974). This film reunites Allen, who produced, with stars from previous movies of his such as Paul Newman and William Holden (from "The Towering Inferno"), Red Buttons and Ernest Borgnine ("The Poseidon Adventure) and Veronica Hamel ("Beyond The Poseidon Adventure" and later "Hill Street Blues"). Also starring in this disaster movie are James Franciscus ("Beneath The Planet Of The Apes"), former football star turned actor Alex Karras ("Blazing Saddles", "Webster"), Jacqueline Bisset, Burgess Meredith ("Rocky" 1-3), and Pat Morita ("The Karate Kid" movies). This was also considered the last film released from the 1972-80 Golden Age of Disaster Movies.

Hank Anderson (Paul Newman) is an oil rigger on a remote island in the Pacific, who scientists inform him that a nearby active volcano is about to erupt. Alarmed, he notifies his boss Bob Spangler (James Franciscus), who insists that there will not be an evacuation. Spangler is owner of the island and part owner of the new hotel constructed there. Nevertheless, Hank, the hotle's other part owner Shelby Gilmore (William Holden), his secretary Kay Kirby (Jacqueline Bisset), local bar owner Sam (Pat Morita), his wife Mona (Sheila Allen), and a few others make a desperate attempt to flee the island, where as Spangler, his wife-and Gimore's goddaughter-Nikki (Veronica Hamel) and the other guests stay behind, a decision that will cost them their lives.
