Claire Waller, 15, used to have more than 200 seizures a week. As you can imagine, for this high-schooler, embarrassment was her big fear. For her family, the stress of not knowing when a seizure would strike and making sure they could intervene was the "new normal." Medications to control the seizures weren't working, so Claire made the difficult choice to undergo epilepsy surgery. Claire has been seizure-free since August 2019 with the help of the neurology and neurosurgery team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Learn more about Claire's transformational journey by watching her story.
