Lithuania's waters has a huge variety of different fishing techniques to offer in all seasons. You can find all types of fishery around Curonian Spit but most special one is fishing in the winter on the ice on Curonian Lagoon. To reach the fish in the summer, you must take a boat, but in the winter, you can get to the best fishing spots by walk.
Despite baltic sea is shallow, not too salty and doesn’t have as many species as other seas, but there’s some very valuable catch for fishers - big salmons, sea trouts and cods. Salmons and sea trouts are caught using a bit unusual method - trolling. Nemunas is very rich with many species of freshwater fish. It attracts fishers from around the Lithuania and other neighboring countries. One of the best and most popular way to catch fish in Nemunas is Feeder fishing.

The mission of CATCH is to promote recreational angling through better information, target-oriented marketing and close cooperation between tourist offices, communes, angling associations and professional fishermen.
