Mountain District Learning Centre

The Mountain District Learning Centre is a long-standing community partner of ours. They are also a 2019 community grant recipient.

The Mountain District Learning Centre is a registered training organisation (RTO 3969), learn local centre and neighbourhood house offering education, training and a variety of activities in a supportive community setting. They offer education for all…in a small and flexible learning environment.

The Mountain District Learning Centre, started as a co-op for women in 1974, offering courses in VCAL and VET for students over 15 who had fallen out of the mainstream education system. They also offer lifestyle and leisure courses and run a number of interest groups and free events and are passionate about addressing disadvantage where ever they can.

This year Mountain District Learning Centre approached us regarding accessing a community grant to fund the purchase of laptop computers to be used by students attending the Centre.
