Here another video from the Day 1 of the Maserati100, the Centenary Gathering of Maserati, and part of the material I've recorded when more than 250 supercars have reached PIAZZA GRANDE in Modena, Italy to be exposed and admired so be sure to not miss any of these watching the appropriate playlist I've created for.
This is the biggest Meeting in the history of TRIDENTE and saw the partecipation of hundreds of crews from every parts of the world like Europe, China, Russia, Australia and America. This is a Three Days event having its first checkpoint in the city of Maserati Factory (MODENA) where all started in 1914 and where Maserati allowed people to admire all cars with precious like 3 MC12 GT1, classic cars like the Bora, the Merak or Mistral, tens of modern ones like the new Quattroporte, Ghibli and Granturismo MC Stradale and super rare ones like the Boomerang, two 4200GT Spyder 90th Anniversary and a Touring Superleggera Bellagio. In the second day the 100Maserati get to Cremona to race on the SAN MARTINO DEL LAGO Circuit and to reach in the evening Turin. In the third day there will be a prestigious 100th Anniversary Concours of Elegance in PIAZZA SAN CARLO in Superga.
In this video a stunning grey Maserati 3500 GT Spider Vignale with british driving licence plate takes part at the event giving me the possibility to film it in each detail like rims, engine, interior, the logo of the "Tridente" and to record its noisy start-up and its lovely sound while driving.
The Maserati 3500 GT is a 2-door italian sports car produced by the manufacturer of Modena since 1957 to replace the Maserati A6, as first attempt of the company to make a Gran Turismo.
Unveiled for the first time at the 1957 Geneva Motor Show, was initially available in the coupe version made by the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera or by the Carrozzeria Allemano. The car took many parts from the Maserati 350 S like the machanical ignition, the 4-speed trasmission, the 16'' steel wheels by Pirelli Cinturato and a 3.5 litre straight 6 cilinder engine that now develops 220 hp.
Across the years the Maserati 3500 GT received minor changes and facelifts to decrease the weight and to improve the performance, with new brakes, new tyres and lighter interior by Jaeger-LeCoultre.
In the 1960 was introduced a cabriolet version made by Carrozzeria Vignale and named Maserati 3500 GT Convertible (aka Maserati 3500 GT Spider or 3500 GTs), unveiled at the 1959 Paris Auto Show and produced in only 245 units.
In 1961 was presented the Maserati 3500 GTi as the first fuel-injected italian production car. The body had a lowered roofline and became somewhat longer; minor outward changes appeared as well (new grille, rear lights, vent windows). The following year entred in production the Maserati 3500 GTiS Sebring, a 2+2 coupe version.
All together, nearly 2000 coupe Touring Superleggera and 245 Spider Vignale were produced in addiction to 4 coupe by Carrozzeria Allemano, one coupe Zagato, two by Carrozzeria Boneschi, one coupe by Bertone and 3 designed by Pietro Frua.
The production of the Maserati 3500 GT ends in 1964, when it was replaced by the Maserati Sebring.
Complete walkaround and a review with each detail like interior, wheels, engine, logo and lights, driving, LOUD starting-up and really noisy exhaust rev sound.
