Evolution of The DRIVER Syndicate - Prototype (2014) vs Alpha (2015) vs Latest Version (2020)

Comparison of the very first prototype, many alpha builds and the current version of The DRIVER Syndicate.
The game changed a lot from 2014 to 2020 thanks to the dedication of its creator Soapy.

• The Prototype was made on a engine built with FPS in mind and was heavily tweaked for the driving game formula. It actually can run better but I like the 8 FPS and the horrendous engine sounds.
• The game had previously network features such as online multiplayer but due to improvements making the sync' complicated it was removed (but it may return).
• 2017 and 2018 were complicated years for the development of the game but Soapy managed to overcome those difficulties and bring back Syndicate stronger than ever in 2019 with the 20th anniversary of the DRIVER series as featured in Red River Episode 2
• In 2020, Soapy can count on an incredible team of community modders bringing new content to the game as the beautiful Miami city from DRIVER 1, new maps, cars, engine sounds, misc,...
• A new website dedicated to DRIVER Syndicate is in the work to facilitate new updates and modding showcasing and tutorials explanations.
