There are two emotions every designer is going to face when their work is chosen or admired. The first one is excitement and happiness that the work is good and they are affirmed as a decent or good designer. But the second emotion is the fear that other people are going to dislike or hate their work since it is going to be shown to many more people.

It is this second emotion that can cause an overwhelming amount of anxiety and depression for creative christians, whether they are designing things, making videos, or whatever it may be, the fear can set in and it can be a difficult loop to shake.

For me, 1 Peter 5 is extremely helpful because it reminds us that other people are experiencing this anxiety all around the world, and that the feelings we have are normal. They aren't good, and they are not pleasant, but it is helpful and comforting to know that there are others going through the same stress and the same weight.
