Scams, where victims disclosed their one-time passwords, went up by almost five times to about 1,100 cases last year. The amount lost also shot up from around $4S50,000 in 2018 to more than S$15 million. Police now are working with banks and stakeholders to warn the public not to share their passwords with anyone.
