American Flyer - Marx and more at Albany Regional Museum

Dave and I took our portable 5x9 layout and more to the Albany Regional Museum and ran trains from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.

Dave set up some of his prewar American Flyer in a window and other railroad items for display. We ran a prewar wind up with cast iron boiler and a prewar electric Brass Piper.

Dave ran a prewar American Flyer box cab electric on the main layout as well as his Marx military train and Marx M10005 streamliner. He also ran his O gauge Union Pacific excursion train which he styled after the Santiam Excursion train that runs in Lebanon.

I ran an American Flyer S gauge freight train and operated the drum loader and pipe loader for some young train enthusiasts. In the last two segments you can see a 4-6-0 project I've started working on.

We had fun talking with visitors young and old during the day.
