Описание к видео Zuma Rc: How to paint using 2-step vinyl mask

In this video I demonstrate how to get best results using our 2-step vinyl kits, these can be tricky but with some due care they give great results.

We have a wide range or vinyl painting masks available on our eBay store here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/zuma_rc?_trksid...

The one used here is designed to fit the Mardave ministock body that specific item can be found here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404105256921

Some other tips on painting -
Personally when I'm painting a body for my car I like to get the shell mounted to the car while its still clear. Get your car set up as it would be on the track (wheels on, battery in, ride height set) then get the body sat exactly where you want it on the car so the wheels are in the right spot and make your body post holes. Now the shell is sat on the car I take out a compass cutter and score from the axle around the wheel. You can either cut the arches out before you paint or wait till after using that score line to simply click the plastic into breaking along the score line.

Scuffing the shell will aid in removing any residue from the vac-form and will help the paint stick to the shell but be sure to use a cleaning agent such as brake cleaner to remove any dirt and finger prints

As noted in the video I use tape to keep the side windows together, this way they will always sit nice and straight with each other

Transferring the graphic vinyl to tape is essential for getting it onto the body shell, you'll just end up in a sticky mess if you don't. Peel the backing back really flat it helps the vinyl stay on the tape and not get picked up by the backing

Paint does a better job of sticking in warmer conditions, on colder days I warm the paint can up in warm water and put the shell in the oven for a few minutes at 50c

Always paint your first coat on really lightly it helps the second coat stick to the body even better. 2/3 light coats is fine, any thicker and the paint flakes off too easily

If any glue stays on your shell from a window or graphic mask I just keep dabbing the vinyl or some masking tape till it picks it all up

Check theres no over spray got in anywhere, just use some scotch brite to remove it as best you can

Thanks for watching, happy painting!
