Ten years ago, Grace's son Lee travelled to Malaysia for cosmetic surgery when he was 31. She believes he was not shown the duty of care owed in his recovery by the overseas medical team.

"He came wheeled out in a wheelchair, dark sunglasses on ... He looked like Frankenstein," Grace said of Lee's return to Australia.

Within 24 hours of being home, he died from a blood clot that had travelled to his lungs.
