Now I'm usually a GW fan, but I'm also a fan of footage from Steam Days of anything Somerset and Dorset with the 7fs being at the top of the list. I do love these locos and whilst they may not be at the top of everyones list, there's just something about them an the power they've got. During the last couple of weeks, saw the withdrawal of Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust 53808 from the Mid Hants Railway, due to the expiry of its ticket. Back in 2018 it made a visit to the Valley for the Spring Gala replacing the B1 at the last minute. To me even though the gala had visits for 6023 and the B12, this was the best visitor and theres nothing better than a 7f on a rake of Mk1s. Here we see 4 shots of it on the Valley during that weekend.
Hopefully the overhaul goes well and we see this loco back in the next 3 years.
