Noteworthy details: This siren was technically replaced by the nearby 2001-130 but it's kept running as a backup siren in case there is a problem with the 2001. It is controlled manually by an AF timer in the fire station.

Happy 4th of July! My celebratory antics started with this thunderbolt and its yearly tradition of sounding off to start Lake Bluff's 4th of July parade. I ran into quite a few other people there, which is always nice. However, this year's soundoff was very underwhelming, since the thunderbolt only did a short alert. To make matters worse, it was raining. Ah well, at least it went off. I think this is the last time I'll go to this thunderbolt unless I'm invited out there by friends (or if I'm in the area for whatever reason).
