NORTH BENGAL TRIP, PART 4 / GAZOLDOBA ROAD / TEESTA BARRIAGE / AMRAPALI TOURISM PROPERTY / MALDA

Today, the 24th of October 2023 is the Bijoya Dashami of Durga Puja, the last day of the ceremony and for us its the last day of our Dooar's Trip. After finishing our complementary breakfast at Tilottama Tourism Property we started our journey at around 9:00 AM. for our next destination, Amrapali Tourism Property at Malda. It was once again a wonderful journey through the dense jungles of the Gorumara region. Very soon while passing through the Gazoldoba road we were completely taken aback with a clear view of the Kanchenjungha Range moving along with us by the side our road for almost an hour and we reached the most remarkable part of this journey when we watched the heavenly beauty of the River Teesta flowing below the Kanchenjungha Snow Peak while crossing the Teesta Barriage. We felt to be the luckiest at that moment to witness a clear view of such a lovely combination of the gorgeous Kanchenjungha and the almighty Teesta. Slowly we crossed Fulbari, Islampur Bypass, Kishanganj and Purnia townships and Dalkhola Bypass which may be considered to be one of the best roadway of the state. After that we reached Raiganj at around 4:30 PM. where we took a halt for lunch. Thereafter we continued our journey for another 80 kms. till we reached our destination, Amrapali Tourism Property at Malda. It was almost 5:30 PM. when we reached our hotel covering a journey of almost 315 kms. So this is all for this remarkable journey from the land of jungles to the city of mangoes.
