Not going to lie, this arrangement was a nightmare! Six minutes long no less, and there are so many intricate sections and dynamics to take care with. But Kanata Haluka is the ending song of Suzume, and I wanted to do it justice. There were hundreds of decisions to be taken here and that was tough, but I think the end result is good at the very least, and I'm satisfied with my effort. Here are the parts I am most happy with:

-My implementation of the bass guitar line in verse 2. I had to tailor it a bit to fit the piano staffs but I think I made it work well. It's quite light and skippy.
-The high guitar solo parts from the original (chorus 2 and 3).
-The fluctuating harmonies of the right hand in the right hand, in the choruses.
-The way the bassline in the second half of the choruses manages to implement the strings part on top, by having the right hand jump down to take part. It's very difficult, but it makes the part "whole" (1:50 for instance).
-The tightness and confidence of the staccato in the second half of each chorus, and the contrast of the sustain when it kicks in after chorus 3 (to emulate the guitar drive).
-The last few bars of the climax, in which I've implemented the "La la la's" from our band arrangements of this song. This is done by playing the melodic line in between the chords, in the right hand.

Some parts I think could be done better:
-Chorus one is a bit dull and only used as a build up in this arrangement, I think it could be more interesting.
-The dynamics of my performance could be even better I feel.
-I do like what I did with the fluctuating harmonies in the right hand of the choruses (because it creates a melody of its own under the main melody), but I don't think I perfected it.

Anyway, that's how I feel about the arrangement in hindsight. How about you?

Please take note: The way I've split up the colors in this arrangement is based on the sheet music staffs and the way the melody and the parts themselves are split up, NOT per hands. If you look at the score (linked above), you will see that you have to cross over to the other side with your left or right hand for a number of the notes. And I've made sure to add parenthesis to the notes that require you to play more than an octave in range. This is so you can change the arrangement to fit your own playing range and style! Hope that helps, enjoy ^^
