In the third episode of the Banaras vlog series, we give you a taste of the heritage of Banaras. Starting our day with prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and Kal Bhairav temple, we walked through the winding alleyways of Banaras to reach the famous Manikarnika ghat where the fire of cremations never cease to smoulder. We indulged ourselves in the beauty of Banarasi street food, the kachoris and jalebis at Ram Bhandar, the fruit-based lassis at the famous Blue Lassi shop, the dahi valla and tamatar chaat at Kashi Chaat Bhandar. Our evening turned magical as we sailed calmly in a rickety boat through the Ganga, taking in the history of each of the ghats in turn. This episode of Banaras makes you fall in love with the city as old as time.
