My last MTW hopup setup - M4W with the default orange M-nub, Madbull 'red' flathopped bucking & 300 mm PDI 6.05 with R-hop was tested today 'head 2 head' against the new ALPHA chamber from Silent Industries. The ALPHA was paired with the Lambda FIVE 6.05 stainless steel barrel, G&G 'green' bucking and Maple Leaf Omega nub. The Inferno Gen2 engine was with the SI red nozzle in both setups and is working just fine with the M4W. Both setups are chronoed with hopup completely turned off.

With both hopups the MTW is at ~1.5 joules with a 0.36g BLS bbs. The temperature is ~25° C, higher than usual humidity due to light rain at the beginning of the tests. Far from perfect conditions for a direct comparison of the two hopup setups, but... there will obviously be a sequel in a slightly better controlled environment :)... You can clearly see how a few blades of grass managed to deflect some bbs.

The torso of the mannequin is 58 meters / 190 feet away. The blue scotch tape below the mannequin's chest marks the height of my head as I sit behind the replica. An ideal shot with a straight flat trajectory should hit the dummy in the stomach. The MTW is aligned horizontally and slightly raised vertically (to compensate for the slight unevenness of the terrain!) on the shooting rest.

I'm not satisfied with the results shown by both sets. I've had better and consistent results with the stock plastic MTW hopup as well as the M4W with the same buckings and barrels. I'll definitely be doing more tests in the future.
