After beginning the Demon's Souls Remake playthrough, I really wanted to go and play the original for comparison as I have mever played it. And thanks to the power of PC hardware and the modding community, it's possible to 'remaster' Demon's Souls so it looks and plays better than ever whilst keeping the original concepts, atmosphere and sounds intact.

One of these mods, overhauls the game's lighting system and makes the original game look and feel so much better, almost like a remaster.

The new mod is called the Boletaria Reborn mod. It completely changes the game's lighting system, making colours emerge more vividly and improving the atmosphere considerably.

On RPCS3 (an emulator for PS3 on PC), the game can also run in 60 fps rather than the 30fps of the original.

This is was a brilliant way for me to experience the original as I have never played it before and wanted to see where the Souls series truly began.

P.S Please note that I added the Eternal Warriors Ring as I did not want to kill Ostrava to obtain it early and I wanted to follow his questline. I also cut the footage of the ridiculous amount of time needed to farming the materials needed to upgrade weapons so that isn't included in this playthrough.
