Introducing "The Links of the Chain are of Equal Strength” - a brand new mural decorating the Harris while transformative works go ahead for the #HarrisYourPlace project. 🎨

The Harris partnered with The Courtauld to commemorate the history of textile manufacturing in the Preston area. The artwork celebrates the journeys, long and short, that Courtaulds Ltd employees made drawing attention to the diversity of the workforce that came together and continues to contribute to Preston’s rich textiles heritage. 🏛️

Preston artist Gavin Renshaw created this brand new mural with the help of students from two local schools. Year 9 students from Penwortham Priory Academy and Christ the King Catholic High School participated in workshops with local artists Gavin Renshaw and illustrator Toya Walker to develop key themes for the mural.

You can find the brand new mural on the Flag Market outside the Harris building until 2025.
