Lot #1299.1 - Time has stood still with this 37-actual-mile survivor 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Sold new at Caldwell-Knap Pontiac in Jackson, MI, it remained in Michigan until recently. The car is powered by the original L80 6.6-liter 403ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. It is equipped with air conditioning, power steering and brakes, cruise, power locks, limited-slip rear axle, optional hood decal and 15x7-inch snowflake wheels still wrapped in the original tires. The manufacturer's Window Sticker and mileage statement is still on the passenger's-side window and dealer inventory tags remain from 1979. That distinctive new-car smell is still present.
