CAE Listening part 3 with answers and scripts helps you practise listening skills for Cambridge C1 ADVANCE (CAE) Listening Test.

The Cambridge C1 ADVANCE listening test has 4 parts, 30 questions, and takes about 40 minutes. In CAE Listening you get to listen to the recording twice. This provides you with a number of approaches to dealing with the tasks and allows you to listen closely to the parts you’ve had difficulties before. The listening segments present a number of different characters, situations and accents. The last is especially important as some accents tend to be more challenging to get used to — Australian pronunciation seems to be especially challenging.

In part 3 of CAE Listening, CAE Listening Part 3 is slightly different from part one as this time you listen to one long recording instead of three short ones. The recording is a conversation of two or more people. Normally you would answer six questions. This part tests your understanding of opinions and attitudes in authentic, spoken texts (like interviews/discussions) by asking five multiple-choice questions (A-D) about detailed points, often implied, with answers following the audio's order, though the last question might check overall comprehension. Key strategies involve spotting implied meanings, recognizing speaker viewpoints, and using elimination for tricky choices, focusing on detailed grasp beyond just the main idea.
