ABOUT THE VIDEO:
"Mariage d'Amour" is a great example of a classical piece that goes through a lot of versions over the years till many people don't know what its first origin is.

When I was a child, my mom took me to a Richard Clayderman's concert.
Since I first met him, I've enjoyed listening and playing some of his famous pieces myself like Ballade pour Adeline, Lettre A Ma Mere and Mariage d'Amour – of course in Clayderman's arrangement since I didn't know any others.

When I grew up and started watching YouTube, I was amazed to find out that almost all the performances for this piece are different from the one I was familiar with. After short research, I realized that a pianist named George Davidson arranged the piece and today pianists on YouTube play according to its re-arrangement. Do they / their audience know that this is not the original one?
There is even a popular YouTube video of this piece with the title "Chopin - Spring Waltz", which probably deceived quite a few people, because this title is completely wrong, which gained 130 million views of people who maybe believe that Chopin wrote this one. How big is the impact power of the social media, ha?

The original piece was written by a French composer named Paul de Senneville, and was first performed by Richard Clayderman in 1979.
In this video, I combined the 2 versions. I started with the publicly known version by George Davidson and continued with the original version with a few touches of mine, so don't be confused.. 😉🤣
I wonder that it may even be unfair that the original artist doesn't get the respect he deserves, while the arranger receives more exposure.
By the way, maybe even Clayderman's version is not quite the original version.
Who knows, maybe one day he will be able to tell me ... 😊
(Another # FunFact in the comments!)
