If you could go back to any period of your life, what would it be?

When I asked my Dad that question, he said he’d go back to when my sisters and I were all under 10.

He loved having kids.

And because of that, my parents gave me a great childhood.

But I never pictured having kids.

I assumed I would because that’s the culture we’re raised in.

But I never really had a vision of myself down on the floor playing with my kids the way my Dad did with me.

I have big goals.

And I value things like…

freedom
calm
sanity

And if you’re the same way, then maybe kids aren’t for you, either.

And that’s perfectly OK.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if the only guys who had kids are the ones who…

... love kids...
...can’t imagine their life without them...
...and give them an amazing childhood?

Wouldn’t the world have a lot more well-adjusted, healthy humans?

So just know that all the cultural pressure around having kids is complete BS.

There are plenty of other ways to grow as a person or contribute to the world.
