Porsche 996 911 Brake Fluid Flush DIY (1997-2004 Porsche 911)

Описание к видео Porsche 996 911 Brake Fluid Flush DIY (1997-2004 Porsche 911)

►Performing a Porsche brake fluid flush is one of the DIY jobs you should know how to do if you own a used Porsche. If you just replaced your brake calipers or disconnected your brakes for any reason, it is a must to flush and bleed the brake fluid before returning the car to the road. Also, if you track your Porsche 996, you should be flushing your brake fluid after every event.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means that it absorbs moisture. If you are familiar with the way hydraulic systems work, like your brake system, water in the system will cause your brakes to not function optimally.

In the case of our Porsche 996 911, we just replaced the brakes and we don't know the age or condition of the brake fluid, so we elected to flush and bleed the brake system before returning the car to the road.

In this DIY, Michael Hidalgo, demonstrates how to flush and bleed the brakes on this 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera with minimal tools. In the video, we demonstrate how to use a Motive Power Bleeder, but this process can be done the traditional way by pumping the brake pedal with the help of a friend.
