Laboratory of Plant-Microbe Interactions, Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad

He received his B.S, M.Sc. and Ph.D in 1996, 1998 and 2004 respectively. He was Post Doctoral Research Associate at Department of plant and microbial Biology, University of California, Berkeley, USA during 2005-2008. Currently he is Staff Scientist VI(Group Leader)at Centre for DNA fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad. He received Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award in 2009 from DBT (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India and He received National Bioscience Award for career development (NBACD), DBT (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India, 2017-2018. He received Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize (SSB) prize in the Year 2020 for Science and Technology in Biological Sciences and was elected fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, India (INSA)-2020 and Elected fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), 2019. His current areas of research interest are Quorum sensing, molecular microbiology, Molecular host-microbe interactions, plant pathogenic bacteria, Molecular genetics of bacteria.
