Oliver Dowden aims tax investigation jibe at Angela Rayner

Angela Rayner has issued a fresh defence of her tax affairs, claiming the Conservatives are “obsessing” over the issue and branding the prime minister a “pint-sized loser”.

The deputy Labour leader is facing a police investigation after senior Tories accused her of breaking electoral law and questioned whether she should have paid up to £3,500 of capital gains tax on profits from her former council house, which she sold in 2015.
