GeneSight Engage 3.19.2024: Going Beyond Green, Yellow, Red on the GeneSight Report

Every one of the more than 60 medications on the GeneSight test has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. Just because a medication is categorized in the yellow or red bin, doesn’t mean it won’t work for the patient or that it can’t be prescribed.

That’s what the Clinical Considerations in the GeneSight report are for. These state the rationale for a medication’s classification and can help inform treatment decisions by providing information about how an individual’s genetic variation may impact outcomes.
