It is Common knowledge that concrete cracks, and most people think there is nothing that can be done to prevent concrete cracks, but is that really true. this video covers the types of concrete cracks and how you can prevent concrete from cracking.

To some extent you cannot stop concrete from cracking, however, some concrete cracks you can prevent while others if detailed correctly can significantly reduce in size to the point where they are not visible.

It is important that in any concrete design you limit the concrete cracks as they can reduce the life span on a concrete building due to reducing the concrete durability and in the wrong place can reduce the strength of the concrete structure.
