Atri (Sanskrit) Atri is a great sage. Hewrote many Vedaslokas forAgni, Indra andother Vedic deities of Hinduism .

He also wrote books such as Atri Samhitas, Atri Amruthas etc. He wrote about charities, rituals, guru praise, the virtues of the Dhamma, the virtues of the Japamas, the virtues of the Brahmanas, the rules, the sons, the adopted sons, the propitiatory, the incarnations, and so on.

Atri is one of the Saptarishi (the constellation of the seven great constellations) in the Hindu tradition , and this sage is most frequently mentioned in the Rigveda text. [1]

The Fifth Zone of the Rig Veda is called Atri Mandalam in honor of Atri Mahamini, of which eighty-seven verses are attributed to him and his descendants. [2]

Atri is also found in the Ramayana and Mahabharata
