I think It's not necessary to make an initial placement here since the map size is too small. As one of the reward's requirements, you need to place a maximum of 4 units. I prefer using Orlandeau and Frederica which they excel a lot in this event due to their strong ranged attacks but you still need to bring a decent tanker to manipulate the outcome. Just be cautious with using large panel skills to avoid friendly fire due to the map's tight spacing.
