Karnataka Bypolls 2024: Congress sweeps Channapatna, Shiggaon and Sandur assembly seats

The much awaited Karnataka byelection results are out. The ruling party, Congress has come out on top by winning all three byelections in Karnataka. In Channapatna, C P Yogeshwar of the Congress won against JD(S) leader and NDA candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy by over 25,000 votes. In Shiggaon, Congress’ Yasir Ahmed Khan Pathan defeated Bharath Bommai of the BJP by 13,448 votes. The grand old party completed a clean sweep by retaining its bastion Sandur, with E Annapoorna defeating BJP’s by 9,649 votes.
