Interview with the director Marko Šantić, interviewer Niki Nikitin

Because of his temporary amnesia, the film’s protagonist Rok returns from an idyllic tourist town to the city where he grew up. He has no memory of his girlfriend Rina or his problematic past. While trying to protect his younger brother Jure from all evil, he is forced to face his troubled past once again. The director has said the following about his third live-action feature: “The central topic of the film is memory loss, which serves as a metaphor for the universal repression of a traumatic experience of the broader community.”

Marko Šantić’s films have earned widespread international success. His feature debut "Seduce Me" (2013) received the Grand Prix for Best Feature Film at the Southeast European FF in Los Angeles, and his latest short film "Blue Peter" (2016) won 9 awards, screening at more than 90 festivals. Šantić also co-directed the feature film "Lada Kamenski" (2018) with colleague Sara Hribar, which received 11 awards.
